How can I volunteer for Super Bowl XLIV?
To become part of the South Florida Super Bowl Host Committee Ambassador Program, we ask that you please fill out the online application (Click Here). Ambassadors will be needed in many areas such as greeters at Hotels & Airports, and Special Events.

If I volunteer, is there a chance that I will get Super Bowl tickets?
Unfortunately, there are no Super Bowl tickets provided to Ambassadors. Ambassadors will have the opportunity to experience the Super Bowl through the events during Super Bowl week.

If I volunteer, will I get tickets to Pro Bowl?
Unfortunately, there will be no Pro Bowl tickets provided to Ambassadors.  However, Ambassadors will be emailed information on how to purchase Pro Bowl tickets.

I volunteered for Super Bowl XLI, do I need to fill out another Ambassador Application?  Yes. All Ambassadors, including those who have volunteered for past Super Bowls, must fill out a new application for volunteering for Super Bowl XLIV.

How many Ambassadors are needed?
The South Florida Super Bowl Host Committee will register, schedule and train 6,000 Ambassadors for all Super Bowl-related activities.

Are there any special requirements for Ambassadors?
All Ambassadors must be at least 18 years of age by November 30, 2009 and have their own reliable source of transportation. Ambassador opportunities will be provided on an equal basis without regard to age, sex, race, religion or disability.      

Why do Ambassadors need to be 18 years of age by November 30, 2009?
The NFL requires that all Ambassadors be over the age of 18.

Are there opportunities for volunteers who are underage to get involved?
There will be volunteer opportunities for those under the age of 18. For more information about these opportunities, please contact our office directly at (305) 614-7564 and ask to be placed on our underage Ambassador list. 

Why do I need to provide my social security number?
The NFL requires that all Ambassadors be processed through an FBI background check. Your social security number and driver's license number will be used by the NFL for these sole purposes.    

Why is an FBI background check required?
Due to increased security measures, the NFL requires that all Ambassadors be processed through an FBI background check.

How many hours do I have to work?
The South Florida Super Bowl Host Committee requires that each Ambassador work a minimum of two 5-hour shifts.  Snacks and water will be provided for Ambassadors at all events.  The minimum Ambassador commitment is approximately 12 hours which includes two 5-hour shifts, training, and uniform pick-up. 

Is training mandatory?
Yes.  Each Ambassador is required to attend at least one training session in order to participate in their registered event.  Training sessions will be in Fall 2009. 

How are the Ambassador shifts assigned?
As an Ambassador, you will pick your own shifts according to what works best with your schedule.  There will be over 100 different combinations of shift times and locations to choose from.

What will I be expected to do during my shift?
We have a wide range of Ambassador Opportunities. Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Greeting and welcoming guests
  • Distributing approved literature to visitors
  • Answering visitors' questions regarding the games, hotels, transportation, restaurants and things to do in the South Florida region    
  • Checking credentials of NFL guests using transportation shuttles

When will the Ambassador shifts begin?
Ambassador shifts will start as early as the second week of January 2010 and last through mid-February 2010. 

If I don't have a computer can I still volunteer?
